After completion of all the preparatory work, the general meeting and inaugural meeting of Dalian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai were held in the afternoon on May 27th at Shanghai Wanda Reign Hotel, announcing the formal establishment of Dalian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. Over 200 people, including persons-in-charge of relevant departments, such as Shanghai Federation of Industry and Commerce, Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, Shanghai Municipal Government Cooperation and Exchange Office, Liaoning Provincial Office in Shanghai, the United Front work Department of Dalian Municipal Committee, Dalian Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Dalian Industry and Information Bureau, Dalian Economic Cooperation Office, etc., and representatives of business associations in Shanghai and Dalian and entrepreneurs attended the inaugural meeting.
Prior to this, supported by Dalian Municipal Committee and Dalian municipal government, initiated by Dalian Federation of Industry and Commerce, approved by Shanghai Municipal Government Cooperation and Exchange Office, and checked and ratified by Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, it was confirmed to prepare for the establishment of Dalian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, with Shanghai Peisong Petrochemical Co., Ltd. taking the lead and together with other 11 Dalian enterprises in hanghai as the initiating units, such as Yida Wisdom Industry Development Co., Ltd..
The meeting considered and approved the regulations of the Chamber of Commerce and items such as the standards of membership dues, and elected the board of directors and supervisors. Shanghai Peisong Petrochemical Co., Ltd., was elected the president unit, and 5 companies, namely Yida Wisdom Industry Development Co., Ltd., Haichang (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Mingwei holding Group (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Liaoning Hengxin (Shanghai) Law firm and Shanghai Guowei boundless Advertising Media Co., Ltd. were elected the vice-president units.
The newly elected president of Dalian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai expressed that, with initiative thinking and international management concept and development mode, Dalian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai will continuously broaden the vision, promote member communications, serve to the members’ demand, regulate their behaviors, and report their demands and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the members. The Chamber of Commerce will work hard to build a strong core team, set up a fully functional member service platform, form an industrial development fund to serve the enterprises of the Dalian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai, and build a headquarter building in Shanghai, and make positive contributions to promote the economic and trade cooperation between Dalian and Shanghai, the Yangtze River Delta, and international organizations, to strengthen the cooperation and exchange between Shanghai and Dalian, and to drive the economic and social development of the two cities.
Besides, Dalian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai has hired 15 honorary presidents and 9 consultants. Pudong Development Bank awarded Dalian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai with a credit of 10 billion yuan.
As of May 27, on the eve of the general meeting, all together more than 150 enterprises have claimed their membership intention. The first member enterprises cover more than 20 industries, such as finance, real estate, manufacturing, cultural tourism, consulting services, logistics, and so on. Some of the parent companies are national listed companies with strong operating strength and great social influence. These are good foundations for the sound development of Dalian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai and resource sharing among member enterprises.
